Fathers

Through the last decade the importance of fathers has become a focal point. Dads already know that they are important, and they finally have the research support that moms have always had. According to various published studies that are condensed on new-medical, it is now known that fathers undergo biological and psychological changes when their partner is pregnant and after delivery when they are involved with their partners and infant. Involved fathers help raise children that are more confident, do better in school, and have more emotional regulation than their peers who do not have a father figure in their lives. Not all children live with their fathers or father figures, yet these very important people still play a critical role in a child's life.

All of the sites below have a wealth of information surrounding blended families, stepfathers, father figures, incarcerated fathers, as well as support for co-parenting fathers.
